This full-day class prepares you to teach the American Red Cross Pet First Aid class. In the morning, the Pet First Aid class is presented with the emphasis on viewing it from an instructor's perspective. After a lunch break and a review of American Red Cross administrative policies and procedures, instructor candidates practice teaching a section of the Pet First Aid class by leading students through the video information and the practice skills sessions.
Prerequisites:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Have successfully completed the Pet First Aid class
- Have a current Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT) certification OR current instructor authorization in another American Red Cross program
